What Is Pyramid Training?

Pyramid Training is a system in which you can start to build up strength or endurance of the muscles, by manipulating the load/repetitions using multiple sets of the same exercise.

Today I used 3 kettlebells- 8kg, 10kg and 12kg to complete two exercises; Kettlebell Swings, and Kettlebell Sumo Squats.

Starting with 8kg I completed 15 reps of each exercise.

On the second set I moved to 10kg and completed 12 reps.

The third set I moved to 12kg, and performed 10 reps.

This can be done either increasing weight and lowering reps, or lowering the weight and increasing reps, or both within one set- generally completed for 5 sets total (ascending and descending).
